Event Details

Colored Ink and Lyrical Opposition are collaborating to produce an original production entitled “Hidden Bruises” in honor of Domestic Violence Month. Hidden Bruises is a Poetic-Theatrical look through the four sides of a domestic violence relationship; the side of the victim, the side of the abuser, the side of the family, and the side of friends who sit by and watch it unfold. Through hip-hop, theater and poetry, they show the fourth side by telling the true story of a young teenager fighting to leave an abusive relationship while hiding her emotional bruises only God will be able to heal. On October 31st, they will be performing two shows along with a panel discussion and breakthrough sessions for the community, as well as a brief open mic section for artists before the shows that would like to chime in on this very issue.

This event is free but RSVP required.

If you have any questions about their event including participating in their open mic portion, hosting a breakthrough session or tabling because your organization deals with Domestic Violence, then please contact them at coloredink41510@gmail.com.
