Join them on a hike from the Dimond District up to the Bay Area Ridge Trail at Chabot Space & Science Center. This beautiful hike will climb through Dimond Canyon Park and Joaquin Miller Park – 200 ft to 1500 ft elevation. After some treats at the top, they’ll hop on AC Transit for a scenic, ten-minute bus ride back to Dimond.
When: Monday, October 12, at 8:30am (the group will leave promptly at 8:40am)
Where: Meet at La Farine Bakery, 3411 Fruitvale Ave, Oakland, CA 94602 (the group will walk past the swimming pool in Dimond Park at roughly 8:45am if you’d prefer to join them there)
Details: Intermediate 5½ mile hike in Oakland’s largest wildland trail system. Bring water, sturdy shoes, and bus fare ($2.10).
