Join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a special talk by local history author Nick Perry from the Mountain View Historical Association. Nick will share the fascinating history of two Mountain View neighborhoods with deep Hispanic roots—Jackson Park and Castro City. Nick’s presentation will weave together stories, maps, and historic images from the archives of Mountain View History Center and his own family’s collection to trace the creation, evolution, and near-destruction of these two historic neighborhoods that have long been connected to the Hispanic communities of Mountain View.

About the Author: Since 2011, Nick has served on the Board of Directors of the Mountain View Historical Association, a volunteer-run non-profit organization founded in 1954 that is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Mountain View. Nick has authored two books on the history of Mountain View and loves sharing the history of his hometown with the community.
