History for Half Pints (the kid kind, not the drinking kind) is a monthly family day at the California Historical Society in San Francisco, featuring music, games and of course, history.

The family day takes place every second Saturday of the month and is free with an RSVP, or if you’re a CHS member.

Make crafts, sing, play games, and learn about California History at our Family Program, History for Half Pints

At the event kids can:

  • Make Bear paws, Origami Bear Claws, and Paper Plate masks and growl in front of our Grizzly Skin
  • Dress up as a Yosemite Adventurer at our Costume Corner
  • Discover new things with our Yosemite Scavenger Hunt
  • Make Hand-Made Stationary at our Stationary Station
  • Enjoy Nature Songs with Mike Santillan at 2 pm
