HISTORY IN MOTION: A Day of Discovery for the Whole Family

Bring the whole family to the San Mateo County History Museum on Saturday, November 7, for HISTORY IN MOTION, a FREE Grand Opening Celebration filled with history, music, discovery and fun!

Be among the first to explore three exciting new experiences: discover historic carriages and automobiles in the Taube Family Carriage House and Automobile Gallery, travel millions of years into the Peninsula’s past in the H.E.R.O. Natural History Gallery, and step inside the beautifully restored Lora Mundi House, formerly the Lathrop-Connor-Mansfield House.

Kids and families can enjoy hands-on activities throughout the Museum Campus, meet Museum experts, discover fascinating stories from the Peninsula’s past and experience history brought to life. Explore the new galleries, enjoy live music and family-friendly programs, and join us for the 11 a.m. ceremonial ribbon cutting as the Museum celebrates its $25.5 million transformation.
