Old San Francisco meets new San Francisco after hours, as the historic Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park presents two of the city’s most talked about bands, Heron Oblivion and Extra Classic. The evening of live music is open to all ages and begins at 6:30 pm with the rare chance to experience the Conservatory’s tropical indoor jungle by night as Oakland DJ Don’t Tell Mom supplies the beats.

Sub Pop describes Heron Oblivion as “a mesmeric compilation of English folk rock and earthy West Coast psychedelia.” The band features the lovely and ethereal Meg Baird on drums and vocals. Ethan Miller of Howlin Rain and Comets on Fire lends his immense talents on bass.

The beloved SF band Extra Classic is anchored by songwriting couple Alex and Adrianne deLanda, whose mutual love of vintage Jamaican dub and psychedelic rock inspired the highly dance-able group’s formation back in 2011.
