Farid is in pain, and has been for six years. Now that everything is on the line, can Diego, the pain management guru, help Farid identify the root cause of his pain?

Is it his Iranian family’s disappointment in his life choices? Is it the pressures of his interracial marriage? Or is it all just in his head? Iranian-American writer Novid Parsi creates a taut and incisive portrait of what a persons body knows even when their minds are at a loss.

There will be a talk back with writer Novid Parsi and director Torange Yeghiazarian following the reading.

This free staged reading is part of Golden Thread Productions’s New Threads Staged Reading Series.  This year’s series introduces four vital new voices to the Bay Area.

They invite you to laugh, cry, and think alongside these beautiful stories from and about the Middle East. Each play is teeming with unexpected humor, surprising characters, and important questions about the world people live in today.

Free but an RSVP is required.
