In “The Imaginary Invalid”, one of Molière’s best-loved comedies, the rich hypochondriac Argan decides to marry off his beautiful daughter Angélique, in love with the kind but clueless Cleante, to a family of greedy and conniving doctors in an attempt to lessen his medical bills – only to be foiled by his household led by the witty maid Toinette. A fun, madcap comedy to round off the summer with! Suitable for all ages!
Presented Free-of-Charge in the beautiful John Hinkel Park Amphitheater – bring pillows, blankets, and/or folding lawnchairs. Bring your own picnic – and/or avail yourself of hot dogs, corn-on-the-cob, and veggie dogs available at intermission.
