In a series of immersive audio tours, Migrant Footsteps, The California Migration Museum tells the secret stories of San Francisco’s migration histories, in the heart of the neighborhoods where these stories live. Because migration isn’t something you can put away in a locked display case: it’s a living story.
In Castro, At Home in the Castro? We hear from a gay pioneer who arrived in Eureka Valley in 1957 and then watched the neighborhood transform into a queer homeland.
Join the museum’s founder and migration scholar Katy Long to walk the At Home in the Castro? tour together on 27 May.
