Alex Cameron revels in singing about different characters, the sort of oddballs who tend to be overlooked by society. The indie pop-rocker started out with the electronic music group Seekae before splitting off to go solo. He released his debut album, Jumping the Shark, in 2016, playing the part of an aging lounge singer with lots of stories to tell.

When he returned with Forced Witness in 2017, he embodied a different persona for the ’80s pop-inspired venture, skewering macho males with uncomfortable, exacting detail. On his third album, Miami Memory the smooth Australian rocker leaves behind the arch character studies and tries to craft something more personal and sincere.
