Event Details

San Francisco’s International Low Brass Trio plays their first full recital at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

The International Low Brass Trio is an exciting new San Francisco based chamber group. Due to its uncommon instrumentation, the trio performs mainly 20th- and 21st-century pieces, as well as a wide variety of arrangements ranging from Renaissance to modern pop music. They are in the process of commissioning new pieces from both American and Australasian composers. This will be the trio’s major concert in San Francisco prior to their December tour of Canada.

Octubafest 2013 Program:

  • J.S. Bach – Prelude and Fugue Nos. 9 & 19 from The Well-Tempered Clavier
  • Kamilló Lendvay – Five Movements in Quotation Marks
  • Steven Verhelst – Song for Japan
  • Frigyes Hidas – Trio for horn, trombone, and tuba
  • John Stevens – Triangles
