The International Lao New Year Festival celebrates the new year 2558 (that’s our 2015), with a big community festival held in the Richmond Civic Center.

International Lao New Year Festival
Saturday, April 4, 2015 | 10 am to 5 pm
Richmond Civic Center, 403 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond
$5 day admission (ages 10 and over).

2015 headliners include Daravan Keovongsoth, Keota K., OneHunned Bouriyaphon, and Heartbreaka. Part of the festival since 2010, Noom Champa Band from Stockton returns.

2015 festival features:

  • 9 am to noon: Tak Baht (ຕັກບາດ Alms offering) 
  • Song Nam Phra (ສົງນ້ຳພຣະ Buddha Image Cleansing)
  • Papaya salad contest
  • Cultural performances, food stalls and vendors
