The International Short Film Festival Oberhausen has been running over 50 years as a catalyst and a showcase for contemporary developments, a forum for often heated discussions, a discoverer of new trends and talent, and as one of the most important short film institutions in the world (some 6000 films are submitted on average per year).
The 58th 2011 International Short Film Festival Oberhausen goes on tour around the world, stopping in San Francisco on April 25 and May 2. The Goethe-Institut presents festival highlights of the sections German Competition 2011 and German MuVi Award 2011.
