Intro Kiteboarding Classes | Foster City

Kiteboarding will soar you to new heights while taking you off the water and into the wind. Come enjoy this sport in a safe environment with us at Helm of Sun Valley.

Every Friday from 5-7pm, we teach beginners how to fly a 2 meter 2 line trainer kite. This lesson is completely FREE and HANDS ON class, ready for anyone.  We only ask that you provide us with your contact info: (name, #, and email).

Intro Kite Class syllabus:
Our goal is to prepare potential students in the following disciplines:

• Safety
• Wind Theory
• Launching, Landing, Steering
• Walking with the kite.
• Power Stroke exercises.

Because this class is FREE, we limit our class-size to 8 students total. Please RSVP.

Class departs from our SHED (a grey shipping container) located in the parking lot of “3rd Ave/Lakeside Drive”

Directions: Take 101 and Exit 3rd Ave EAST. Stay on 3rd ave for several stoplights.
Notice Mariners Island Golf Course and turn Left on Lakeside Dr. (1 light past golf course)
Follow until you reach the parking lot. (you should see the San Mateo Bridge in the background).
