Event Details

Come join renowned dancer Lois Flood for an unforgettable performance of the lyric, dramatic, and heroic dances of legendary dance pioneer Isadora Duncan.

Born in San Francisco (1877-1927), Isadora Duncan was a powerful symbol of women’s emancipation and created a revolution in aesthetics through modern dance.

Lois Flood, founder of Diablo Dance Theater, has been performing Duncan’s exquisite dances for over 20 years. The performance will begin with a brief lecture about Isadora’s life, including her influence on early twentieth century art and culture, the Russian Ballet, fashion and women’s freedom.
