Islands By The Bay Festival

It’s island time! Celebrating the various cultures of the Asian Pacific islands, including Micronesia and Macaronesia, Islands by the Bay is an annual community festival dedicated to building and sustaining a coalition that supports Pacific Rim communities. Launched in 2022 by Legacies of the Pacific, the festival is a diverse culture-driven event that promotes collaboration and builds cultural bridges by presenting an array of Bay Area AAPI dance companies, musicians, speakers, comics, poets, public personalities and local politicians. With some 30 Bay Area vendors all showcasing AAPI culture and crafts, Islands by the Bay brings a joyous array of sights, sounds and tastes to the Gardens while offering scholarships in sports, music and dance.
