Pick up your map, and experience a taste of life in Israel.

This mini-festival offers a whirlwind tour of the food, culture, art, sport, music, and spirit of Israel. Learn about Israel through hands-on activities and games, a “shuk” (marketplace) selling Israeli food, and an archaeological dig.

Take a photo with a real camel, watch the film Holy Land Hardball and hear from former professional ballplayer (and current Tamalpais High School teacher), Aaron Pribble, author of Pitching in the Promised Land-about the one year that Israel had professional baseball.

  • 9:30-11:30am Performance: Hear musical artist Micha Biton perform live “From Sderot to Jerusalem”
  • 11:30-2:30pm Festival: Take a photo with Hump-free the camel in the Negev Desert * Visit the Western Wall and learn Israeli folk dancing in Jerusalem * Play games on the beaches of Eilat * Join an archaeological dig in Ein Gedi * Make a mosaic and do arts & crafts in Tzfat * Buy tasty Israeli food in Tel Aviv * Read Hebrew stories & watch Israeli Sesame Street …and much more.
