Charlie Gurke is heir to the gherkin pickle family fortune. That’s a lie. He is in fact a seasoned jazz saxophonist and founder of Gurkestra, a jazz band named after himself. This six piece jazz outfit revels in playing folk songs from around the world as well as their own original work. But don’t be dismayed, they can jam out the jazz standards like nobody’s business.
Joining them this night will be vocalist Diana Gameros, because world folk music just isn’t the same without a singer.
