2016 Jazz On The Wharf | Santa Cruz

With a beautiful backdrop of the Monterey Bay, top jazz musicians perform outdoors and in wharf restaurants as Jazz on the Wharf.

Stroll the half-mile wharf and soak up everything from smooth jazz to swing while enjoying scenic views, shopping, dining and recreation. Bands will be performing on the wharf commons stage starting at 11 am.

Enjoy this family-friendly event with free live jazz while a variety of wines will be available for sale for adults (proceeds benefit the Friends of Parks and Recreation).

To kick off Jazz on the Wharf, the Kuumbwa Jazz Honor Band starts at 11:00 am on the Wharf Stage. They represent the “best of the best” among high school student musicians from Santa Cruz and neighboring counties.

Hand-picked by their band directors, these talented young “ambassadors of jazz” pass a rigorous audition to earn their position in the Honor Band.
