7 pm: The View From The Other: J-Dilla A European Remembrance (51m, U.K.)
The director has drawn together many people, working in their own creative disciplines including music production and animation, to give something back and affirm with one voice their love of J-Dilla. It discovers underground communities and cultures whose rejoicing in and reaction to J-Dilla’s music, impact and legacy is as intense as ever. James ‘Dewitt’ Yancey aka Jay Dee aka J-Dilla: the visionary musician, producer and MC’s influence is global. Everyone touched by him and his work has inspiring memories and stories to share. Now the focus is Europe.
8 pm: Tli’ Infinity: Souls of Mischief (Oakland)
This documentary will show the Souls as you have never seen them before.
