Event Details

From October 22nd through November 15th, CK Contemporary will present Juan Escauriaza: Setting the Scene, the gallery’s third solo exhibition for the contemporary Spanish painter. Escauriaza’s work was the subject of the gallery’s very first exhibition in 2013, nearly ten years ago. Opening Reception will be held in the gallery on Saturday, October 22 from 6-9 PM.

Setting the Scene showcases new large scale works of acrylic on linen, through which Escauriaza explores the American experience and San Francisco’s urban landscape. His subjects, rendered with a delicate balance of sharp precision and lively brushwork, highlight his “outsider” perspective as he examines the sides of the city that are frequently overlooked.
