Event Details

Join us at Mrs. Dalloway’s Bookstore on Wednesday, September 6th when Bay Area author Julia Park Tracey comes to the store to present her new novel The Bereaved. Julia will sign copies of her book after the event. Based on Julia’s research into her grandfather’s past as an adopted child, and the surprising discovery of his family of origin and how he came to be adopted, The Bereaved is a mesmerizing work of historical fiction illuminating the darkest side of the Orphan Train.

JULIA PARK TRACEY’S ancestors and their stories have given her many trails to follow. An award-winning author, journalist, and poet, Julia lives in the low Sierra Nevada after a childhood in the Wine Country and a journalism career in the East Bay. She is the executive editor and one of the founders of Sibylline Press, a new press dedicated to publishing the brilliant work of women writers over 50.
