Event Details

This week, people across the world are gathering to demand justice for Sarah Halimi. Sarah Halimi was a 65-year-old schoolteacher. She was an Orthodox Jew, and the widowed mother of three children. Her neighbor Kobili Traoré entered her apartment, shouting “Allahu Akbar” as he beat her for nearly an hour, breaking every bone in her face. He then tossed her body from a 3rd-floor window.
This week, the French high court ruled that Traoré would not be charged with her murder. His defense? He had smoked weed before the murder, and therefore the court found he was not responsible for his actions.
France has betrayed the trust of the Jewish community. Traoré must be held responsible for the murder of Sarah Halimi
Add your voices to the multitudes and come to a vigil in front of San Francisco City Hall Sunday May 2 at 2pm to demand accountability and justice for Sarah Halimi.
