SFPL partners with KALW for one of their Town Hall events featuring a distinguished lineup San Francisco/Bay Area poets.
This town hall discussion will draw from the multicultural communities that continue to inspire the region and the world.
KALW Executive Producer Ben Trefny will moderate a conversation with:
Josiah Luis Alderete: Pocho poet, curator, and host of the long-running Latinx reading series, Speaking Axolotl, and guardian of the portal known as Medicine For Nightmares Bookstore and Gallery.
Genny Lim: San Francisco jazz poet and multi-talented artist, known for his collaborations with Max Roach and his upbringing in North Beach.
Andrew Paul Nelson: North Beach poet, organizer, and curator of the Coit Tower Poetry Series. Look out for his upcoming poetry-themed wine bar, The Golden Sardine.
Norman Zelaya: Mission poet and author of “Orlando” (Pochino Press, 2017) and Gente, Folks (Black Freighter Press, 2022).
