World Party is a British pop alt-rock band led by Karl Wallinger, formerly of The Waterboys.
With clever lyrics and Beatles-esque harmonies, they had a sting of hits in the ’80s/’90s including Ship of Fools, Way Down Now and Message in the Box and UK #1 “She’s the One.”
In recent years, Wallinger has taken World Party to the stages of Bonnaroo and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival.
