Kathy Mata Ballet is pleased to announce its 30th Year Anniversary theater performance in the beautiful, state-of-the-art theater at Mercy High School, in San Francisco.
Admission is free, although donations are always gratefully welcomed. All proceeds support the company’s expenses, such as renting rehearsal and performance spaces.
The program will feature “Orpheus in the Underworld,” a full-length classical, romantic, mystical, and adventurous story ballet, choreographed and set on the entire company of volunteer dancers by Joshua Ugarte, with assistance by his dance partner and the company’s dance master, Sachiko Kwan.
The company will also introduce their newest contemporary ballet medley, Just Another Ordinary Day (Musical Suite), which includes modern ballet and musical theater – plus guest performances.
