Join the South San Francisco Public Library for an afternoon yoga talk with author Melanie Salvatore-August. Melanie’s new book, Kitchen Yoga, offers an inspiring twist on integrating yoga and life: she cooks up poses and practices to do wherever you are. From a modified Downward Dog while waiting for your morning coffee, to Locust Pose in the living room, and many more. Finish your day with relaxation exercises in bed and slip into a calm, peaceful sleep. Salvatore-August couples recipes with helpful illustrations and nourishing affirmations which will transform your simmering stress-filled life into feast for the mind and body.
Melanie Salvatore-August is a speaker, author, YogaWorks trainer, teacher/mentor, birthing coach, and CTA yoga-based life coach. Her book, Kitchen Yoga; Simple Home Practices to Transform Mind, Body and Life, was released in April 2015 by Yellow Pear Press. She is the creator of the nonprofit FK (FierceKindness.org), a movement of compassion and non-violence. She is an ambassador for lululemon and lives happily with her husband and three little boys on their family homestead in the San Francisco Bay.
