Kitchener 3 Year Anniversary Party: Free Beer, Sangria & Pop-Up Food Market | Oakland

Kitchener Oakland is turning 3 years old and they’re having a party to celebrate with free beer, free sangria and most foods under $5 on Thursday, August 20, 2015.

They’re slinging a great mix of small-batch Kitchener made foods from vegan Tel-Aviv style hummus with soft chickpeas, mushrooms, and schug hot sauce; to vegan Japanese curry breads; to Jambalaya-style andouille sausage and shrimp paella; to mac and cheese pulled pork sliders; to caramel stroopwafels; to summer peach pie; to whipped cream and fruit cake trifle, and more

Come celebrate their third birthday with a long awaited pop-up market, featuring a variety of foods all made in Oakland and all made in Kitchener.

Featured Artisans:

• CHICA – Spicy mac & cheese, cochinita pibil pork, pickled jalapeño sliders; Mexican shrimp and avocado ceviche (GF options)
• Chickpea Chick – Crispy chickpea soccas with cilantro/parsley/spice dip and roasted bell pepper/garlic dip (all vegan, all GF)
• Itadaki – Vegan curry bread; mini bentos w/ vegetable wrapper rice balls, eggplant mille feuille, and kabocha squash croquettes (all  vegan)
• Natty Cakes – Cookie sandwiches, mini cupcakes, lavender lemon shortbread, chocolate chip cookies, cake trifle-whipped cream and fruit (GF options)
• Peas & Love – Tel Aviv-style hummus bowls with soft garbanzo beans, juicy mushrooms, and schug hot sauce (all vegan, GF options)
• Pinx Catering – Jambalaya “paella” with andouille sausage, shrimp, and chicken; short rib and mashed potato “cupcakes” (GF options)
