On March 4th in Oakland, join Kiva.org and Oakland City Council join forces to announce the opening of the new Kiva Oakland Hub and partnership with Centro.

Before International Women’s Day, we’re taking this opportunity to shine a light on the amazing work achieved in the community, particularly for women. At a press conference starting at 11am, Mayor Libby Schaaf and Kiva will highlight and celebrate women entrepreneurs in Oakland and how the city is thriving.

As part of the ceremony, Mayor Schaaf and Kiva will unveil a mural created to encourage Oakland city members to interact and write what a powerful woman means to them. As a new decade commences and International Women’s Day takes place, Kiva aims to celebrate what powerful women represent in 2020 and the many amazing borrowers Kiva has helped along the journey.
