Event Details

Take a rare evening cruise to get a close up look at the massive construction project of the eastern span of the San Francisco Bay Bridge.
Because this event is part of LaborFest 2011, you’ll be joined on the boat with labor historians, photographers and building trades workers who will talk about labor history and the construction of the new span. Oh, and there’s a free meal on the boat, too.

To make your reservation: e-mail: laborfest@laborfest.net or call: (415) 642-8066, and leave your name, phone number and number of people in your party.

Why is a $45 event on FuncheapSF? Yes, we know that normally we list only free events, and a few that are $5 or $10. But in this case we feel it’s definitely a tremendous value event at $45. You’re not only getting a guided boat cruise and up close lecture on the construction of the new Bay Bridge but a free meal as well.

This is a rare opportunity to get an upclose look at the bridge which happens at most once a year and we think definitely fits into the category of “worth the splurge.”

LaborFest, an annual month-long event in San Francisco and the Bay Area features over 70 lectures, workshops, tours and more events all centered around highlighting the struggles of the labor movement. Most events are free and open to the public | July 2-31, 2011
