Event Details

Media is viewed as being a representation of different demographics. Despite the diversity in the world of media, more often than not people of color are either underrepresented or misrepresented, thus creating stereotypical or racist depictions.

As they attempt to build a more meaningful way to understand how media representations affect communities, the Treehouse Space is hosting a public community panel on people of color in media to foster positive dialogue on how you can understand the manners in which media can shape how you view yourselves and the world around you. All voices and identities are welcome.
