Event Details

In this half-day conversation, the Brower Center and RSF Social Finance will address one of the most pressing issues of our time—working land and access to it. Approaches to ownership, lease relationships, and the role of community must be radically reconsidered to build thriving and resilient regional economies. Without affordable land, farmers and other productive land stewards will struggle to make a decent living.

How can you transform the relationship to land from a market-based commodity to community wealth shared and stewarded by all?

John Bloom, author of “An End to Age of Entitlement,” will provide leading thoughts on reconsidering land ownership, use, and community. The event will also include a panel with current farm practitioners, landowners, and financiers who are taking innovative approaches to solving these problems, and ample time for facilitated exploratory conversation among participants.
