Event Details

Oakland’s own Poet Laureate, Ayodele Nzinga, presents: Oakland Writes Poetry Workshop Series. 

Dr. Nzinga will begin each session with a brief talk on a particular poetry form. Participants will then create their own poems. There will be time to share your work aloud and comments of appreciation will be encouraged. The final session will be a poetry slam/open mic.
