CANCELED? Little League Baseball 2020 Opening Day Parade | Presidio

Event Update – As of 3/7/20 at 10:28am we have no idea if this event is (or isn’t) taking place anymore. There’s no mention of it being canceled on the website,  but no mention of the event taking place either.

Watch over 120 little league teams parade through the streets of SF in decorated pick up trucks to get ready for opening day.

2020 Little League Opening Day
Saturday, March 7, 2020 | Parade starts at 10 am
– Parade: Starting from the Presidio through the Marina District
FREE to watch

San Francisco’s teams (called the Giants, of course) begin their season with a motorcade parade for all the City’s Little League teams from the Presidio through the Marina District, followed by an Opening Day ceremony and barbecue.

Home games are played at either China Basin Park across “McCovey Cove” from AT&T Park, at Little League’s fields on Treasure Island, or at McCoppin Square Park at 22nd Ave. and Santiago.

Home games are interspersed with away games with Challenger teams in Marin or on the Peninsula. (I can provide you contact information for these other teams in South San Francisco, Foster City, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, San Jose, etc.)
