Come eat, drink, sing, paint and drum with us!
Leap’s Creative ArtBar brings the Bay Area’s best teaching artists and innovative activities to you for an unforgettable night. Tickets cover food, drinks, and hands-on arts experiences. Guests will have the opportunity to make works of art and take home their own creations. All proceeds go toward Leap’s program costs, teaching artist wages, and art supplies. Creative ArtBar will also feature a silent auction highlighting work from talented Bay Area artisans and makers.

Workshops
- Vince De Jesus’ “Let’s Jam Together!” Drum Circle Jam: Vince De Jesus is a multi-percussionist, drummer and teaching artist contributing to many groups in the Bay Area including his own Bay Area Latin Soul Project and Groovv. His classes focus primarily on sharing music, history and rhythms from West Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Puerto Rico, Cuba and the US. Vince would like to invite you to join him in creating a drum circle jam—let’s have some fun finding the rhythm together!
- Create Your Own “Color Schemes” in OP Art Coloring Book: Create your own color schemes on artist Alexis Arnold’s coloring book designs extracted from patterns in her Op Art paper pulp paintings. Come enjoy some time coloring at the event, grab a coloring book to take home, or design your own coloring book page!
- Dance Kathak–Ignored Elites with Shipra Shukla: Dance style inspired by Central Asians in the Court of the Delhi Sultanate. Learn how to do a tight spin on your heel and end in a sharp pose with extended lines.
- Singalong With Ms. Keta: Rather than a concert, in this setting, let’s sing together! Keta Bill performs with many different groups; Big Bang Beat!, The Soul Delights, Rhythm Town Jive and more. Usually she sings without accompanying herself-but through it all she has learned a great deal of fun popular songs to play. For tonight Keta would like to invite you to join in with her on popular songs from the 20th century. Take a songbook or request a song—let’s have some fun singing!
