Open Call to Artists, Creative People & Makers in all mediums who are interested in learning how to work with roses. Many opportunities to exhibit your work for free to thousands of people in May are possible. This workshop will give you the tools to learn both traditional rose exhibition and totally out-of-the-box ways to show your personal art practice within our show which has captivated the west coast since 1941. There are opportunities to show your work in your medium that is inspired by roses.
Traditional exhibition techniques will be covered are Photography, Arrangements, and Horticulture.
Non Traditional exhibition techniqes discussed during the workshop include Painting, Fashion, Craft, Jewelry, Fabric, & Multimedia.
The San Francisco Rose Society has evolved since its founding in 1941 and is a vibrant, dynamic, inclusive, friendly group of people that are inspired by the rose. All experience levels are welcome. We celebrate diversity and kindness.
American Rose Society Judges Hilary & Mike will give everyone the tools to succeed in exhibiting at the show in May and throughout the year in opportunities hosted throughout the Bay Area and the United States. Hilary & Mike are both gifted arrangement artists. Mike is a painter, sewist, designer, and also works in precious metals and gemstones.
Come visit us at the Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park April 14th at 1 PM – 3PM and have fun using your art practice in this exciting world of roses.
