Ever been introduced to the lo-fi, adorably potty-mouthed, anti-folk twosome The Moldy Peaches?
It’s music for the kind of people that like Cat Power, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Dodos, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Iron & Wine, Daniel Johnston—which is to say “real” indie folk/rock.
And if you never heard of any of these, surely you saw Juno and remember the little diddy Michael Cera and Ellen Page put together at the end? That was “Anyone Else But You” by The Moldy Peaches.
Lucky for you, Kimya Dawson, the girl half of the band, is playing a cheap show at legendary all-ages punk club 924 Gilman.
