Submitted by the Event Organizer
Join Friends of the San Francisco Public Library on Saturday, November 14th for their Book Donation Center Open House Party.
Come check out the new digs and meet their awesome staff, and neighbors. Best of all, pizza and drink specials are on them.
They would like to extend their thanks to their Open House sponsors, Mozzarella Di Bufala Pizzeria and Thee Parkside for their generous donations.
“Wait, you moved!?”
Yup! After calling The Mission their home for almost a decade they moved into a larger facility in the beautiful Potrero neighborhood to continue expanding their growing book operations. Come check it out.
“What’s Your Donation Center all about?”
Their Donation Center accepts your books, CDs, DVDs and LPs. Have some items you’d like to donate towards a good cause? Come on by. They’re open Monday – Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm. Please check out their website or give them a call for a complete list of items they accept and for more information about donating or call (415) 522-8600.
“Where do your donations go?”
After their stellar volunteers sort the items and their Pricing Specialist lends his keen eye, they sell the books and media in their bookstores, their Semi Annual Big Book Sales, their seasonal Steps Sales, their $1 Donation Center Sales, specialty book fairs and online. The proceeds support learning and literacy at the San Francisco Public Library.
