Event Details

Robert J. Sawyer is well-known to discerning readers of quality science fiction. His recent work includes the adaptation of his novel FlashForward into an ABC TV series, but he also has had over 21 novels published (with a new one, Triggers, available at SF in SF), and is a staunch advocate for Canadian literature. He is one of only eight writers in history — and the only Canadian — to win all three of the world’s top Science Fiction awards for best novel of the year: the Hugo, the Nebula, and the John W. Campbell Memorial Award.

Rachel Swirsky is, quite simply, one of the best short fiction authors writing today, with a 2010 Nebula Award for her novella, “The Lady Who Plucked Red Flowers Beneath the Queen’s Window.” She was the founding editor of the PodCastle podcast and served as editor from 2008 to 2010.

Each author will read a selection from their work, followed by a Q & A session with the audience, moderated by author Terry Bisson. Booksigning and schmoozing in the lounge follows. Books are for sale for each author, courtesy of Borderlands Books.

Seating is limited and is first come, first seated. $5-$10 suggested donation at the door.
