Join Litquake at the Epicenter for the launch of ZYZZYVA’s new Spring issue, featuring readings from fiction contributors Rob Ehle, Elena Mauli Shapiro, and Peter Orner. Co-presented by City Lights Books.

ZYZZYVA offers fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and art from the West Coast’s best artists and writers, presented in an elegantly designed book. The Spring issue is their largest yet, at 256 pages, and includes a special section on Mexico’s drug war, featuring translated work by acclaimed journalists Diego Enrique Osorno and Marcela Turati, and artwork from Stephanie Syjuco, Chester Arnold, Andy Diaz Hope, and others.

Readers

  • Rob Ehle’s work has appeared in New England Review, Epoch, and American Short Fiction, among other publications. He is the Art Director at Stanford University Press.
  • Elena Mauli Shapiro is the author of 13, Rue Therese (Reagan Arthur Books/Little, Brown).
  • Peter Orner’s most recent novel is Love and Shame and Love (Little, Brown). His work has won two Pushcart Prizes, and he is a faculty member at San Francisco State University.
