“Living Newspaper: Extra Extra”: Public Performance Art & Workshop | SF
Southern Exposure presents Living Newspaper: Extra Extra, the first West Coast public performance project from internationally recognized artist Liz Magic Laser.
From August 7-11, 2013, Laser and her collaborators will stage public performances inspired by daily newspaper headlines around a newspaper kiosk in downtown SF in the morning (9-11 am) and evening rush hours (5-7 pm). In her investigations, she highlights the scripted elements of both televised and printed news, shattering any pretense of an objective lens.
Want to join in?
Beyond witnessing these performances, you can join in Laser’s project by attending mid-day workshops where you will dissect and perform news stories daily from 1-3 pm at Southern Exposure (3030 20th St, SF).
Workshops are free, but an RSVP is required for each.
