Event Details

It’s official, Ugallery is going offline. Well, not entirely. They’ll always be primarily an online gallery, but for the night of Thursday, March 1st, they’re going physical. The new digs have blank white walls ripe for the hanging and they intend to do just that, starting with SF artist Jared Sussman.

It’s going to be a fun night of local art, free (good) booze) and music from 6pm – 9pm.

Jared is a true San Franciscan in that he’s not from San Francisco at all. Jared moved to SF from Los Angeles a few years ago, and his aesthetic already reflects The City’s influence. Used technology pairs with DIY found photography, teasing out San Francisco’s tension between tech and vintage culture. He mixes an LA pop and street sensibility with cartoonish folk figures reminiscent of the Mission School’s Barry McGee and Chris Johanson.
