Local Label Night: Fronds’ Electro-Acoustic Harmonies | The Chapel

It’s Local Label Night at The Chapel featuring Do Not Disturb Records with a live set by Fronds.

Fronds’ sound weds two-part boy/girl harmonies to a foundation of finger-plucked guitars, electro-acoustic drums, bass, claps, and FX slathered toy keys. Dylan Tidyman-Jones began composing material for the group in 2011, with Greer McGettrick (bass, vocals) soon involved and helping flesh out the arrangements. Adele Bidet (keys) and Mark Clifford (drums) round out the current incarnation.

Brian Lee Hughes of Castle Face Records was so taken with the Fronds record, a smooth salve to his fuzz-addled ears, that he not only offered to put it out, but started a whole new imprint, Do Not Disturb Records, based on the boudoir vexations herein.
