Emerging from the fog of the pandemic, a host of experimentalists and creative musicians join for an online mini-festival, streamed from home.
Lockdown V commemorates the spirit of Mills College and supports artists of conscience. At a time of exceptional peril for people of color, including our Black and Asian American communities, music of purpose is invaluable. Proceeds from this festival will be directed to two East Bay spaces that embody this mission: Temescal Art Center (TAC) and Oakland Public Conservatory of Music.
Program Includes: Tania Chen, Vinny Golia, Grex (In Honor of Milford Graves), Headboggle, Erika Oba + Hitomi Oba, Mark Clifford + Crystal Pascucci, Kevin Robinson, and Trouble Ensemble with Darnell Ishmel.
