Now that Dolores Park’s north half is reopening, the city is trying to change habits of the 7,000-10,000 people that use the park on weekends by encouraging them to “leave no trace” and keep the park clean and beautiful.
There are now two new Park Patrol officers assigned every weekend, new trash cans (to be deployed on June 18), a Recology funded and staffed recycling station and a big outreach/ public awareness campaign, #LoveDolores. The department is committed to fund and staff the recycling Pop-Up and the #Love Dolores Campaign through September.
If you want Dolores Park to stay clean and pretty and help with community outreach, you can get involved by RSVPing to Robert@doloresparkworks.org
