Love and Truth from the Western Addition and Beyond features readings from Shizue Seigel’s poetry collection “Courting A Man Who Doesn’t Talk” (wry and tender field notes about love across difference) followed by open mic that includes contributors to Write Now! SF Bay’s anthologies “Standing Strong! Fillmore & Japantown,” “Civil Liberties United,” “Essential Truths: The Bay Area in Color,” and “Uncommon Ground: BIPOC Journeys to Creative Activism.” These anthologies contain works by Bay Area writers and artists of color. The contributors that will be reading are Francee Covington, Charles Dixon, Li Miao Lovett, Tureeda Mikell, Roji Oyama, Juanda Stewart, Kimi Sugioka and Dera R. Williams.
