Event Details

On the night of Thursday, March 13, a total lunar eclipse will be visible across the United States for the first time since 2022. Join us at The Lawrence for a late-night watch party to catch this celestial spectacle, also known as a Blood Moon! Learn from local astronomers about how lunar eclipses happen, and what makes total lunar eclipses special. From 10 p.m. to midnight, explore the Moon and the night sky, hands-on activities, our Planetarium, and exhibits including Future of Food.

Event is included with admission to the science center (Adults & children ages 3+: $20).  Admission is free for UC Berkeley students & staff, Members, children 2 and under, Museums for All, and active-duty military.
