Event Details

Face (s) – def. the expression of the countenance. The face is the primary organ in displaying emotion. At no time in human history have you been so connected yet there is an obvious disconnect. Emojis have replaced emotions.

Artists Kate Deccicio (Bay Area/Washington DC), Joanne Ludwig (Oakland), Mahader Tesfai (Eritrea/Oakland) and DUCKWRTH (Los Angeles/San Francisco) each have a tremendous gift of creating fascinating portraits.

Some faces will be overlapping, some futuristic, some emotional and all beautifully thought provoking.

As their “Sound & Color” artist of 2016, Duckwrth is not only contributing to the the MAF exhibition, but he will be performing at the private viewing and releasing his new music.
