CANCELED: “MAKE” 3rd Thursdays After-Hours Event | SF
Design your night at MAKE. On the third Thursday of each month, collaborate with artists and makers, explore unique themes and rethink materials through creative design projects. Enjoy hands-on art activities and crafts, artist-led happy hours, films, tours, performances and much more. Each month features a different experience and projects.
Cash bar for guests over 21 and complimentary drink tickets for MCD members; ID is required. Space and supplies are limited; some events may require a nominal materials fee.
Celebrate ideas that Go Beyond the status quo and be sure to get to the museum early to join the In/Visible Talks 2020 Happy Hour with a community of designers, creatives and creators.
Explore in-gallery hands-on projects featuring the themes, concepts and materials found in “Survival Architecture and the Art of Resilience” and “Linda Gass: and then this happened…,” as well as creative activations led by In/Visible partners 826 Valencia and Delve Fonts.
Plus, learn hand lettering techniques from graphic designer Lara McCormick and acknowledge Zero-Waste Month with a cast-off fabric banner-making workshop by Shu Bertrand– product designer and founder of Aplat. Don’t miss the sock dyeing and donation station for Sole Stop.
