The Museum of Craft and Design’s MakeArt Family Days are half-day-long events designed for visitors of all ages featuring tactile materials introductions for toddlers, guided activities for kids and in-gallery hands-on opportunities for the whole family.

This month, MCD celebrates the new exhibition “Interior/Exterior” with a Family Day focused on structures and place. Explore building composition by constructing a 3D mini brick structure inspired by Benjamin Armas and Ori Carino and combine simple stamped shapes into complex architectural forms.

Upgrade your personal space with bedroom banners and hanging elements based on the art of Kathy Sirico, and design an indoor ring-toss game featuring materials and imagery found in Julie Alpert’s whimsical installation. All activities are free with admission and children 12 and under are free.
